Corey hails from Research Triangle Park in North Carolina. He graduated with honors in 2012 from the University of Pennsylvania’s prestigious Jerome Fisher Program in Management in Technology, with matching degrees in Management and in Chemical Engineering. After graduation, Corey spent four years in Personal Financial Planning before he chose to pursue his passion for high-level teaching.
Before he began teaching for companies and their professionals, Corey spent five years tutoring a wide range of business and technical subjects to students from middle school to executive MBA programs. He’s also an avid public speaker and member of Toastmasters. He holds (so far) two consecutive state championships in the Evaluation Speech Contest, where competitors deliver 2 to 3 minute impromptu speeches that give constructive feedback to a previous “target” speaker and shared audience. His ability to convey effective presentation skills is invaluable to many a client of ours.
Corey began facilitating professional development seminars when he was asked to teach his custom evaluation methods to eager fellow Toastmasters. Since then, he’s branched out to Learning Techniques, Communication Skills, and Relationship Management. He’s known by his knack for understanding complex concepts at a deep fundamental level, then communicating those concepts to his students clearly and memorably.
